Day 7: About to Snap like A Christmas Kracker?

⭐Day 7: Don’t Hold Your Breath, It Will Be Over Soon!

Oh, that was close! You could expire that way. Not before the prezzies!

Instead of holding your breath, how about decreasing your stress by watching your breath.  It’s that simple.  Just sit down, close your eyes, and ‘watch’ your breath as you inhale and exhale.  Try this tiny little stress reliever right now.  In and out, in and out…imagine your breath like a coloured mist…in and out.  After a couple of minutes, open your eyes and notice how bright everything looks.

Give yourself the biggest gift of all, calmness.

Day 6:  Ready To Bolt For The Airport?

Take a mental vacation and daydream about your favourite holiday spot.  Better yet, dig out a photo of your favourite relaxing place ~ the lake, beach, mountains, shopping mall ~ keep it close at hand.

When you feel your holiday blood pressure rising, take 2-3 minutes and just gaze at your photo ~ close your eyes and imagine all the sites, sounds, sensations and smells.  Repeat as needed.  There is no such thing as too much vacation time!

May visions of sugar plums, or palm trees, dance in your head!

Day 5:  Need A Breather From Holiday Hype?

With the Holiday hustle at full pitch we can all appreciate a haven of serenity, solitude and spirituality.   Be it in a sacred building or a sacred place in nature, 15-20 minutes of uninterrupted quiet can hold off the mounting stress and do wonders for your inner peace.

Give yourself a break…a quiet break.

Day 4:  Mrs. Claus Was A Perfectionist!

She takes care of everything!  She packs the sleigh, hires the seasonal help, makes sure Santa stops for snacks, checks the bulb on Rudolph’s nose, and keeps all those Elves in line!  Oh she’s a trooper, but don’t follow her lead!

Forget planning the perfect family gathering (!!), finding the perfect present, accomplishing the perfect holiday decor, and dine out if you are looking for the perfect holiday meal.  Or you could always hire the Elves!

Life is too short, and thank goodness so are the holidays!  Time to let go of perfection and enjoy the holidays.  So short-circuit the mental exhaustion of perfect and repeat after me…good enough is good enough!

Have a perfect holiday…just kidding!

Day 3:  Grumbling Into Your Eggnog Because You Said ‘YES’ One Too Many Times?

Seriously there is no ‘peace and good will’ if you end up doing lots of things you don’t want to.  So start early in the holiday season and say a few NOs.  Just make your “No” gracious and move on.  How Queenly is that!

If you want to have the energy to really enjoy what you choose to celebrate, it’s not too late, just say “No”!

No kidding!
