November and we gained one hour of precious time back for another year! Don’t know how you used your extra hour, but this Burnout Pup never needs an invitation to catch up on beauty sleep! (cute, cuddly and lazy)
We had a less eventful October. Roof repairs kept us in more than we wished (how many visits & workmen does it take to fix a roof) but it’s now done and no more leaks! With the plants back in place, we got busy preparing the ‘garden’ for winter! We enlisted the help of two little gardeners but they were too busy peaking at the neighbours to be of any use! And one of them spent the afternoon mesmerised (as he does) by the watering can.
We booked a cultural day trip into London’s V & A Museum’s Shoes: Pleasure & Pain and The Fabric of India. No pictures allowed, but they were stunning, shocking (little shoes on grown women), historical (14th C sandals) and the Fabrics were vibrant and inspiring. Of course, stopping, sitting & sipping tea is always a great way of soaking up the London vibe.
Back at the seaside, we’re continuing to discover new and quirky areas to visit, like The North Laines’ cute shops, tea stops and locals (if you want a good shave you’ll just have to step over this guy’s sun perch).
There has been work, between our play. Our member’s club The Realm!, is truly international and it’s never too late to be part of this amazing (and fun) group of women. We’re preparing our inaugural virtual ‘Afternoon Tea’ event for November so think of this as your official invitation to join us…sign up at the bottom of this newsletter!
November adventures are fast approaching. Theatre tickets, luncheon dates, Christmas fairs and pet sitter booked. You can be sure we’ll snap-the-adventures for you. Oh…and we couldn’t say good-bye without sharing this beautiful sunset outside the kitchen window (yes it’s truly a window with a view)!
