Burnout

The experience of living with burnout and exhaustion for professional, creative and highly sensitive women

An interest could be a beginning!

watching tvIf you get all choked up watching a news piece on a crisis or a touching story of helping–take note, this could be an interest you could build on.

You could take that interest one step further.  Why not email (contact) the organisation and ask how you could get involved.  There may be several options that suit you and your sensitivities and gifts.

Your new interest could just be a new beginning.

Ladies how are you aging?

woman writingLadies, how ARE you aging?  This question may surprise you, but The Burnout Queens know that what we are about to suggest is rarely, if ever, what a woman does!

If we ask do you make lists? then all of you will say, “of course, what woman can hold all the details she needs to remember in her head…best to write them down”

But that’s not the kind of list we are meaning.  We know stuff and things are readily written, but what about this powerful list?

Have you a list of strengths about yourself that have gotten better with age?  Did we just hear a groan, sigh, silence?!  How many of us are encouraged to write this list?  Let’s pretend you do have such a list handy (and you will after reading this) and ask you again.

HAVE YOU A LIST OF STRENGTHS ABOUT YOURSELF THAT HAVE GOTTEN BETTER WITH AGE?  If the answer is:

Yes, then embrace them fully and enjoy the power and wisdom of knowing and accepting.

No, then start your list (this kind of list not the stuff) and act on them from today onward.  Still wise and powerful.

With respect — The Burnout Queens xx

It’s ‘Back to’ everything time

at the beach2Autumn has definitely arrived on our doorstep here in London.  There is a coolness to the morning air, the nights are drawing in earlier, and the leaves are turning colour and falling.

It’s back to school, back to work, back to the rat race we all have a love/hate relationship with.

Sooner, rather than later, all  the family schedules and work projects will have consumed us and we will be thinking longingly (perhaps excitedly for some) of that next holiday or break.  You know, that time when you can just Be with Yourself uninterrupted.  Here’s our Tuesday remedy before the next holiday arrives:

Remember who you are outside of your job:  Take a little piece of you to the office — a family photo, a picture of the last trip to the beach (no this isn’t me, I’m not quite that old) or a favourite art piece.

Nothing like a visual reminder to keep You on track with You.

Until that next moment…Grab Life by the Crown!    — love The Burnout Queens
