Relaxing The Burnout Queens way!

brighton fringe

Always striving for balance we’ve taken impromptu moments away from work to de-stress and play in May… after all darling, it’s Brighton and the Fringe Fest is in town.

When you work for yourself, your inner boss can be ‘very’ flexible!  (think about that for a moment, it’s big!)

Relaxing days strolling through newly discovered neighbourhoods, poking around interesting shops, checking out the art open houses, and always having afternoon tea, cake and all!

It’s  what we both love and do best.  (being the queen of calm, cool and collected)

Embracing it!  The Burnout Queens xx

I love the unexpected

decday3I do love the unexpected, especially when it’s a thinking outside the box kind of unexpected.

Well in this case, it’s thinking outside the silver tea service that Dr T and I brought all the way from Canada. (can’t leave the inheritance behind us can we?!).  We have dutifully packed this silver set with us on all 4 moves since arriving in the UK, but never quite found the right place or use for it.

I know it’s a tea service, but I usually don’t ‘do tea in’ because as you all know by now, these Burnout Queens actively hunt for a great tea event outside of work and home while we are on one of our London excursions.  So, suffice to say this tea service has never found a proper home.

Well of course it hasn’t because the mindset of ‘proper’ is exactly the problem isn’t it darling!

So the solution is to think outside the box–look for the unexpected twist–and voila you get a different and perfect look.  Now, I just love how this tea service looks and is used.  It’s elegant, creative and full of style.

Don’t you agree?  Well it’s not down to us…these Burnout Queens know our limits…these little gems were created courtesy of our florist/stylist around the corner at Florian Hove.   Credit and thanks P for the creative day and elegant result.  We love it. xx

Ask yourself where in your life (or belongings) you can begin to think outside the tea service?!

Love, The Burnout Queens xx
